October 13th, Tuesday, 6:30-7:30pm EST (via Zoom only) – Tim Cooper

Join Tim Cooper as he presents images, ideas, and techniques about photographing our National Parks after dark. Moving into night photography is an easy shift for many landscape and nature photographers, as the disciplines share similar techniques. Composition and sun and moon position play a big part in planning both daytime and nighttime images. However, as with any photographic discipline, knowing the exposure triangle is the basis for making great images. It’s even more important for the night photographer to understand the relationship of aperture, shutter speed and ISO since they are working in the dark. With these basic principles under your belt, it’s an easy matter of learning a couple of tricks of the night time trade to begin creating captivating astro landscapes.
