Welcome all to the new season and the exciting plans that await!
First, to report on our year-end raffle in June, we wish to thank members and donors who made it such a success. Jay Tanen secured auction items donated by SONY, FUJI, FOTO CARE, NIKON, DUGGAL VISUAL SOLUTIONS and HAHNEMUHLE. Charles Chessler received a donation from ADORAMAPIX and John Brengelman donated the X-RITE items. A very special thank you to these companies and we hope our members will support and favor them when making purchases. We also thank our members and guests, whose contributions and participation made it a successful and fun evening. All but 3 items sold. We will eventually offer them for sale in another manner.
Please mark your calendars with the 2017-2018 meeting dates that appear in this issue. Our meetings are held on Wednesday evenings with one exception —October 26 is a Thursday evening meeting.
It is important to all of the Board that we meet the needs of our members and are always available to hear your input, criticisms and suggestions. if you see a possible exhibit site, seek information and inform us. If you hear an exceptional speaker, take the name and contact info. Invite a guest/friend to our meetings and introduce them to our educational and entertaining programs. Anything that will contribute to making our meetings and membership grow and prosper is welcome!
