In this presentation, Denis will reflect on his decades of photography at the American Museum of Natural History, showcasing images from a wide range of assignments both within the museum and in the field. His work spans subjects from the microscopic to the monumental. He will discuss the museum’s transition from analog to digital photography, as well as advancements in drone photography, photo stacking, and time-lapse techniques.

Denis will also explore the various purposes of museum photography—from collection study and exhibition documentation to publication in books, magazines, and newspapers, as well as the evolving demands of online media to keep the museum accessible and engaged with the public.
