February 18th, Tuesday, 6:30pm EST (via Zoom only) – Greg Smith

Greg will share pictures and stories from his five decades as a photographer for news organizations, marketing clients, and a variety of documentary projects.

He will focus particularly on the 20 years he spent paddling a kayak into a tidal salt marsh to photograph wildlife at sea level in South Carolina, which led to his award-winning documentary short Keeping the May River Wild.

He will also discuss how he has continued similar work at elevations of 8,000 feet and higher in Colorado.

Greg will share insights about the gear he uses, how he manages it in the wild, his approach to photographing wildlife, and how his images aim to document and promote a healthy environment and society.
