Welcome back, everyone! We hope you are all enjoying your summer. The new board members held their first meeting of the new season to discuss plans and details for the upcoming year. More information will be shared soon, but for now, here are a few highlights of the changes for the ’24/’25 season. We look forward to getting back together soon!
Newsletter Updates:
In an effort to streamline operations and get information to you faster, we have decided to release a simplified version of the newsletter. Instead of a bi-monthly newsletter, we will proceed with a monthly newsletter. You do not need to change anything, if you are already signed up for the newsletter, you will continue to receive it.
New Meeting Location:
Our in-person meetings will be held at a new location this year: the School of Visual Arts (SVA). SVA is handicap accessible! The address is 136 West 21st Street, Room 418F, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10011. SVA is accessible by the 1/F/M/C/E trains as well as the M7/M55 buses. Our meetings will now be held on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays as they have been in the past. Our first in-person meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17th. More information about the meeting will be shared soon.

Meeting Registration:
We will continue to use Eventbrite again this year, advanced registration is required for all meetings, with a suggested donation of $8.00 at the time of reservation. You’ll need to create an Eventbrite account with your email and password, if this is your first time using it.
As we did last year, members will receive an email when tickets to a new meeting are available, typically a few weeks in advance. The email will include a link to the Eventbrite page where you can reserve your spot and make a contribution.
Unless otherwise noted, all meetings, including in-person ones, are broadcast via Zoom. On the meeting date, Eventbrite sends two emails to ticket holders: one two hours before and another at the start time, both with the meeting link. Be sure to sign in to your Eventbrite account in advance. Meetings start at 6:30 pm, with the presenter beginning at 7:00 pm. For in-person attendance, present your Eventbrite confirmation email upon arrival.
