In his travels around the world, Christopher Ang has found that a common theme has been how habitat loss and climate change are driving (non-human) species extinction. Chris will present a photo essay of what he has witnessed in the field and learned from others about the plight of the last wildernesses on our planet. He will explain why the narrative about human impact on the natural world needs to change from an existence where humans “win” at the expense of other species. He writes, “The earth (our only home) is spectacular when it is bio-diverse. Nature and its species are spectacular when free from human encroachment and re-arrangement.”

Christopher Ang is a nature conservation photographer, having shown work and been honored by the Santa Fe Photographic Workshop, Soho Photo Gallery, the American Society of Media Photographers, and Canon USA. He has presented Spectacularly Free in venues as diverse as New York, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Brazil.
